Nous avons ouvert nos portes le week-end de Pâques. Pas d' "évènements" à annoncer mais nombre de nouveautés qui seront, nous l'espérons, appréciées tout au long de la saison.
Un jour d'ouverture supplémentaire : le mercredi. Pour les enfants qui ne vont pas à l'école et leur famille, le parc ouvre ses portes toute la journée et, exceptionnellemnt, l'on pourra pique-niquer.
Le jardin japonais
Les weeks-ends, il sera possible de goûter devant le Jardin japonais, dans la Foulerie, bâtiment où, au début du XVIIe, on foulait le chanvre.
Un nouveau parcours dans les sous-bois a été esquissé, entre la Foulerie et la Baigneuse. Il devrait être accessible début juin. Une autre sensation de la nature. Des fleurs, enfin, mais toutes blanches. On a dit de Courances que c'était le seul parc à la fois classique et romantique…
Les deux lignes vert clair qui tracent la nouvelle perspective autour du Grand Canal annoncent le printemps. On a replanté des peupliers Robusta, arbres du XIXe, de part et d'autre du deuxième plus vieux Grand Canal en France…
La promenade à Courances est différente, toujours...

We have opened this year on Easter Weekend. Though there are no special events to announce, we do have several new things to share, which can be appreciated throughout the season.
Wednesday visits: the park will be open one additional day per week to welcome families with children who are not in school that day. The park will be open all day long, and, exceptionally, picnicking on the grounds will be permitted.
Salon de Thé/Tea Room : weekends, enjoy tea or a snack overlooking the Japanese garden in La Foulerie, a 17th century building constructed for the processing of hemp.
A delightful ramble has been carved through the woods, linking La Foulerie and La Baigneuse. Planted with flowers -- all white -- it is a reminder that Courances is the only park in France that is both classical and romantic. This promenade will open in early June.
The 19th century Robusta poplars have also been re-planted on both sides of the Grand Canal, the second oldest in France. These two pale green lines underline the perspective and announce the arrival of spring.
Every visit to Courances reveals something new…
